ProActive Roofing & Sheetmetal is a well-established family-owned Commercial Roofing and Sheetmetal Manufacturer Company located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We are offering a full-time casual position with view to a permanent position for the right person.

We manufacture next day in-house roofing materials - flashings, cut, slit, fold & bend sheet metal fabrications, we stock Insulation, Sislation, Safety Wire, Fixings, Silicone, Accessories & Source Rainwater Goods, Polycarbonate Sheets, and any other project specific products.

The role involves delivering goods to various job sites all over Melbourne, with the flexibility to assist in down times assisting with general factory duties and the operation of different machinery equipment in the factory.

You will need to be willing to multi-task duties (not limited to):

  1. Drive a MR Truck all across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs

  2. Load & Unloading of truck, both manually & with a forklift (Licence desirable) at our Factory and on various Job Sites

  3. Assisting in any factory duties as directed

You must:

  1. Be flexible in start & finish times

  2. Have fluent English skills (reading & writing)

  3. Provide good customer service

  4. Be self-motivated, fit & healthy, reliable and have excellent work ethics

  5. Be a conscientious team member

  6. Hold full work rights in Australia

You will be required to have:

  1. A Current MR Truck License

  2. Sound knowledge of Melbourne including surrounding areas

Hours: Hours can vary each shift subject to delivery schedules and delivery locations.

  • Mon-Fri 5:00am-1:30pm (Flexible hours depending on deliveries schedule) with the possibility of overtime

Prior experience driving a MR Truck is a MUST, no other prior experience is required (but is an advantage), gain practical, hands-on experience operating different machinery in a factory environment with comprehensive training and ongoing support.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
