About the role

Australian Road Covers' is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in our Bayswater, VIC location. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods across various locations. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operating a commercial vehicle, such as a rigid truck, to transport goods across metropolitan areas
  2. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and well-maintained
  3. Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  4. Unloading grates and manhole covers to store and sites, using a truck mounted crane when required
  5. Providing excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders

What we're looking for

  1. A current Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a commercial vehicle driver in the road transport industry
  3. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and safe driving practices
  4. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Good communication and customer service skills
  7. Forklift licence, dogging licence and truck mounted crane experience would be an advantage
