As an Experienced Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing reconciliation and analysis of data in financial systems, ensuring accurate financial records as per procedure guidelines. This role involves timely compliance reporting, preparation of financial statements, and supporting financial disclosures.
You will also assist in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets, reforecasts, and 5-year business plans. Additionally, you will manage a small team of staff in achieving team objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and managing reconciliation and analysis of data in financial systems from front office system to back office system.
- Accurate and timely compliance reporting including BAS, FBT, Levies and Annual Accounting.
- Assisting in the preparation of Special Purpose and General Purpose financial statements in accordance with Corporations Law and relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) for external auditors sign-offs.
- Preparing work papers supporting financial disclosures.
- Ensuring Group Reporting is published by due dates.
A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5-10 years' experience working in a finance team preferably within the commodities/agribusiness sector, and understanding of accounting principles for processing and warehousing assets, derivative products (futures, forwards and options).
