Our client is a Government Department who have an urgent requirement for an Infrastructure & Facilities Advisor to be based in the Rockhampton/Mackay regions. The role will utilise your excellent communication and planning skills in guiding stakeholders across asset management and maintenance issues. Please note this is a contract role from 1st September 2025 until 30th June 2026 and may involve frequent travel across the region.

Specifically the position will involve:

  • Providing advice to stakeholders, consultancies and management on facilities planning, investment and portfolio operations in the context of education and municipal assets
  • Plan and attend on site meetings to discuss maintenance plans based off Asset Life Cycle Assessments and visual inspections
  • Data and budget management and prioritisation of pending works
  • Manage and monitor the delivery of the capital works, maintenance and services to meet time and quality standards
  • Liaising with business partners to undertake the works and managing subsequent variations and issues
  • Providing open communication to client management on progress and timings of works

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience in public sector facilities or maintenance management
  • An extensive background in construction management or a relevant formal qualification
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Solutions oriented
  • Possess a current Drivers License and Blue Card, or be eligible for one and willing to undergo a Criminal Records Check
