Technical Advisor for Government Agency

This role is suitable for a Construction Trade professional or Works officer looking to transition into a technical advisory position.

  • Liaise with government stakeholders regarding government buildings, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure projects.
  • Assign priority to project breakdowns and undertake regular site inspections.
  • Ensure site meetings are held at regular intervals and conducted in accordance with standardised procedures.
  • Issue variation orders and assess contractual claims.
  • Process contractor's requests for information and ensure building act compliance inspections are undertaken and appropriate records kept.

About You:

  • Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including the ability to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders.
  • Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and in-house staff both written and verbally.
