About the position

The Community Development Officer position provides high level community engagement and capacity building to the community and supports functional areas to communicate information relevant to the delivery of Council programs and initiatives.  The position is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a variety of community development programs and activities in their region.

This position will work under general direction.

  • The salary range for this position is $36, $37,517.90 gross, pro rata, per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
  • This is a Temporary Part time position until 28 June 2026 (Maternity Leave Cover).
  • 27.5 hours / fortnight on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Work outside of standard hours, including nights and weekends, may sometimes be required depending on community requirements.
