About the client:

This is a large and complex international group with multiple business units, each run with real ownership and accountability. The finance team is flat, collaborative, and in the middle of change, which means there's plenty of scope to step in and make an impact.

About the role:

You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate calculation, accounting, and reporting of employee remuneration, with a strong focus on commissions, incentive schemes, and bonus structures. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency in employee compensation and benefits.

In practice, you'll:

  • Calculate and process employee commission, incentive, and bonus payments in line with employment contracts, sales targets, and company policies
  • Analyse and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy of salary, superannuation, benefits, and incentive payments
  • Partner with Finance to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll accounting, including accruals and provisions for commissions and bonuses
  • Liaise with HR, Payroll providers, and department managers to validate commission and incentive data

About You:

Your technical accounting skills are solid. Ideally, you have some experience with the payroll function and experience in the calculation of bonuses and commissions (not essential), and you've got the confidence to look at numbers critically, challenge processes, and ask the right questions. More than anything, you bring energy and curiosity. You're someone who adds "spark" to a team and isn't afraid of change.
