About the role
The purpose of the Service Technician- Aviation is to assist with the Maintenance and Aviation Aircraft refuelling equipment breakdowns in Brisbane and surrounding areas as required. There will be some travel required within Qld and interstate. The role also requires assisting in assembly and some project managing of new infrastructure builds and installs as directed by the Manager- Aviation Infrastructure
In this dynamic position, you'll:
- Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing aviation refuelling vehicles and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Complete some annual and scheduled servicing to Aviation Refuelling equipment.
- Aid in assembling new aviation infrastructure while supporting project management for builds and installations.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE usage, hazard reporting, and compliance with WHSE and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and track inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
- React swiftly to emergency maintenance requests and adjust priorities based on operational demands in a dynamic work environment.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need the following attributes:
- Hold a trade certification in mechanical fitting or mechanical trades.
- Possesses a current Driver's Licence, HR Licence, and DG Licence (desirable); a Forklift Licence is advantageous but not required.
- Be able to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate small tools and machinery.
- Capable of working independently or in a team, with solid communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Background in service or maintenance roles, with responsibility for maintaining Vehicle and DG Licencing.
