About the role

Join the team at Smart Apprenticeship Solutions as a Landscape Construction Apprentice. This full-time role will see you working in the Cairns QLD, learning the essential skills to become a qualified landscaper. As an apprentice, you'll receive hands-on training and support to develop your expertise in all aspects of landscape construction.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting with the installation of garden beds, paving, retaining walls, and other landscape features
  2. Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and other plants
  3. Operating landscaping equipment and machinery safely and effectively
  4. Following plans and specifications to ensure high-quality work
  5. Participating in on-the-job training and completing your apprenticeship qualifications
  6. Collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional landscaping projects

What we're looking for

  1. A passion for the outdoors and a keen interest in gardening and landscaping
  2. Strong problem-solving and practical skills
  3. Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  4. A willingness to learn and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship
  5. A positive, teamwork-oriented attitude
  6. A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  7. White Card (or ability to obtain)
