Contracts Manager

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced
Defence Contracts Manager
to take ownership of key sustainment and service delivery contracts supporting the
Royal Australian Navy
and broader Defence capability

In this role, you'll oversee the full lifecycle management of Defence contracts, ensuring service delivery excellence, compliance with contract obligations, and strong engagement with end users and stakeholders across multiple locations. This is a hands-on position suited to a proactive professional who thrives in a structured, customer-focused Defence environment.

Responsibilities of your new role

  • Manage long-term Defence contracts, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate quarterly service activities with Defence representatives and internal service teams.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting, documentation, and performance reviews against KPIs.
  • Lead customer engagement, contract discussions, and service coordination activities.
  • Oversee the movement of Defence-furnished equipment, spares, and logistics.
  • Ensure all service and support activities align with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support additional Defence-related projects and initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in managing Defence or government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of Defence procurement, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead contract reviews, prepare reports, and manage supplier and customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with ability to obtain a
    Baseline Defence Security Clearance
