About the role:

SafeWork NSW is seeking a Manager, Procurement to lead and shape our procurement function, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and sustainable outcomes across the Agency.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Oversee high value and high-risk procurement activities, including negotiations and contract management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement systems, processes, and staff capability.
  • Manage procurement risks and ensure compliance with NSW Government frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver transparent, ethical, and value for money outcomes.

About You:

You're a strategic procurement leader who thrives on delivering value, compliance, and innovation. You bring expertise in managing complex sourcing activities and building strong stakeholder relationships, including:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management within complex environments.
  • Strong skills in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, and risk management.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders while leading complex projects to successful outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage and develop people, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement or contract management and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in a procurement environment.
