Description

  • Manage and maintain SAP BTP Basis components to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting as required.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Use BTP CLI, CF CLI, and Git for deployments and automation
  • Configure and manage SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
  • Configure destinations, connectivity, and extensions to integrate with SAP ECC and other applications
  • Deploy, monitor, and support BTP services (e.g., Integration Suite, Build Apps, Launchpad, Document Management).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise for system integrations and migrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and public sector regulations.
  • Offer guidance and support to end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Profile

A successful BTP Basis Specialist should have:

  • Strong background in SAP BASIS administration (NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA DB)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP administration (Cockpit, subaccounts, entitlements, services)
  • Solid knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) - IAS, IPS, SSO, and role-based authorizations.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Connector and hybrid landscape integration
  • Familiarity with Cloud Foundry/Cloud NEO/Kyma and cloud-native concepts (containers, microservices).
  • Understanding of hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with public sector compliance and security standards.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in managing system upgrades and migrations.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining system performance and reliability.
