The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is the largest, privately owned network of veterinary hospitals in the Southern Hemisphere, offering multi-disciplinary specialist and emergency services across multiple locations in New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. At SASH, we are committed to providing exceptional care and service to pets, their families, and the veterinary community. Our Tuggerah based hospital is currently in the process of installing a brand new Sempra 1.5T MRI, with first scans commencing in November

About You:

You will work in a multidisciplinary setting alongside veterinarians and nurses in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care. Your role will entail MRI and CT imaging, operation of fluoroscopy, oversight of the radiography suite, maintenance of digital image storage and responsibility for radiation safety across the facility.

You will receive support and training from the SASH veterinary diagnostic imaging team and collaborate with colleagues in the pursuit of continual improvement in standards across all imaging modalities.

Candidates for this position must:

  • Be available to work on Mondays and/or Fridays, on a permanent basis

  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, nurses and support staff.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in radiography recognised by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia such as the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging).
  • Hold current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (Diagnostic Radiography) with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
  • Have experience in medical MRI. Experience in the imaging of animals is an advantage but is not essential.
