As our highly valued People Business Partner based in Brisbane you support the delivery of high-impact, high value people solutions that enable business success. Reporting to the Senior Manager People Partnering, you support the alignment of people strategies to organisational, divisional and workforce priorities. The execution of People Plans, People Cycle and the P&C service model across the business.

You'll make an impact by:  

Supporting senior managers and senior leaders, as your key stakeholder group across a designated portfolio, applying your deep business knowledge to provide practical people solutions that drive value for now and in the future.

Business Partnering and Advice

• Partner with leaders to translate divisional and organisational priorities into effective people strategies and initiatives

• Provide insight and advice on workforce planning, organisational design, capability development and talent pipelines

• Act as a conduit between the business and P&C CoE to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and deliver value

Talent & Capability

• Support leaders in identifying, developing and retaining key and critical talent

• Partner on succession planning, leadership capability and development programs

• Champion upskilling, reskilling and future fit capabilities in line with business needs.

Culture and Engagement

• Guide and coach leaders to build inclusive and high-performing teams and support lift engagement through data driven action plans

• Support leaders to create a psychologically safe environment where issues can be safely raised, heard and managed effectively.

Change and Transformation

• Partner on the delivery of Enterprise and divisional change programs, ensuring people impacts are well managed

• Support continuous improvement and adoption of new ways of working that align with future workforce needs. 

Governance & Risk

• Educate and support build capability in leaders across key people practices including performance management, employee relations, talent and succession and workforce management and organisational change. 

• Ensure people practices comply with policies, legislation and conduct and risk frameworks.

• Support and advise leaders on more complex employee matters to mitigate risk.

Do things differently with us  

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar P&C generalist partnering or advisory role
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interpretation and application of P&C policies, procedures, legislation and industrial instruments
  • Ability to effectively communicate, coach, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to solution enabled by strong consulting, relationship management and influencing skills
  • Experience with driving continuous improvement
  • Change management experience and skills to effectively support deliver divisional and enterprise-wide initiatives including but not limited to organisational change.
  • Previous employee relations and organisational development experience is desirable
