The company now have opening for an additional HSE Advisor to join their highly experienced Perth WA team

Requirements:

  • Min 2 years' experience within Commercial Construction HSE Space
  • Cert IV or Diploma Work Health Safety
  • Possess a valid WA Manual Drivers Licence
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and HSEQ software systems
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sound ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and complex problem solving
  • Experience creating and implementing HSE processes
  • Fully current on Health & Safety regulations and Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Exposure investigating incidents utilising the ICAM methodology/ 5 Whys etc.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support company operations in all aspects of HSEQ as required
  • Manage the incident investigation and emergency response program, acting as the lead investigator for all incidents, coordinating and developing effective actions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Positively influence, and advise workforce on Health and Safety requirements under Workplace Health & Safety Legislation
  • Undertake construction project audits to ensure contractors and workers are complying with all requirements of the specific Project HSEQ Management Plan and Federal Safety Commission requirements
  • Designing, developing and delivering training programs to support the company's Safe system of work
  • Developing and maintaining HSEQ documentation to ensure continuous improvement in HSEQ and training as applicable
  • Collating HSEQ data, developing risk mitigation strategies, delivering presentations and reports to executive management and other stakeholders
  • Advise on relevant WHS legislation and review changes to legislative requirements for all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand is desirable
