Why this role matters
You'll  be tasked to build the internal capability around key wind engineering disciplines including energy resource assessments, site layout & optimisation, and energy yield modelling. Your work will directly inform investment cases, site and technology selection and delivery outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Establish and manage wind measurement campaigns for early-stage sites (mast/LiDAR strategy, data QA/QC, campaign design).
  • Lead energy resource & yield assessments (from screening through to investment cases) and optimise design for site layouts
  • Support M&A due diligence - interrogate data rooms, validate resource assumptions and generation profiles
  • Partner with wind turbine OEMs - track technology roadmaps, compare platforms, and guide turbine selection through tenders.
  • Create clear, decision-ready outputs for non-technical stakeholders (boards, investment committees, development & delivery teams).

About you

  • Degree-qualified with 5+ years hands-on modelling across ERAs, siting, and energy yield; confident forming and defending recommendations.
  • Depth of experience across the asset lifecycle: greenfield development, tendering, construction and operations.
  • Clear & straightforward communicator - able to translate complex analysis into simple, actionable insights.
  • Lateral thinker who can direct and critically evaluate consultant work and embed best-practice assumptions.
