About The Role
We are looking for a Solution Engineer – Cloud & Cyber Security to join the Enterprise Architecture Practice team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Join Elders as a Solution Engineer in Cloud & Cyber Security and play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with innovative technology solutions. This position combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to design, implement, and optimise solutions that align with our strategic vision. Acting as both a technical advisor and solution designer, the role partners closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into scalable architectures. This role offers the chance to work across a dynamic, national network and collaborate with diverse teams to protect and enhance our digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and efficient solution architectures by designing and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures utilising infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Optimise cloud resource utilisation through automation, monitoring, and cost management.
  • Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines and development processes.
  • Conduct thorough security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
  • Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and governance artefacts to support clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to align cloud solutions with business needs and compliance requirements.

About You

  • Proven expertise in cloud and cyber security architecture, with strong experience in Azure and related platforms.
  • Skilled in infrastructure as code, automation, and cloud resource optimisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
  • Experience in security risk assessments, incident response, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive positive change.
  • Project management experience with a focus on delivering outcomes on time and within scope.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related fields preferred.
