We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Director for our R-6 OSHC/Vacation Care service.

The OSHC Assistant Director (Level 5.1) will work closely with the OSHC Director and staff to plan and deliver a quality Out of Hours School Care program that offers a variety of experiences for children that are enjoyable, educational, and inclusive.

SCOPE AND NATURE OF THE POSITION

This permanent (15 hours per week) (more hours will be available to work each week on a casual basis), will require the Assistant Director to work:

· Before School Care: 6:30 am - 9:00 am

· After School Care: 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm during term time

· Vacation Care and Pupil-Free Days: Equivalent hours or more as required

The role also includes some administrative tasks across the week.

The successful applicant will be passionate about the education and care of school-aged children, including those with disabilities or additional needs. They will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the OSHC Director and staff while maintaining a positive, energetic, and well-organised approach.

A probationary period of three months will apply.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and lead a team that fosters

positive and effective working relationships with staff, students, and

parents/caregivers.

· Demonstrated knowledge of operational and financial management of OSHC

to ensure smooth delivery of services.

· Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating

appropriate programs for children that reflect the diverse needs of the community.

· Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework (NQF)

Standards, Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), National Regulations, My Time Our

Place (MTOP) or Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and administrative

functions of an OSHC service, including Child Care Management System (CCMS)

and Children's Services Award

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Diploma or degree-level qualification as approved by ACECQA

· First Aid qualifications as approved by ACECQA

· Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training (RRHAN)

· Working with Children Clearance
