Are you an experienced Shotfirer looking for your next challenge?

Rock on Ground (ROG) is seeking skilled and motivated Shotfirers to join our team.

Key requirements:

  • Current WA Shotfirer's Licence
  • Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Dangerous Goods Licence
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an appointed Shotfirer in an open pit mining environment
  • Proven experience with blast design, loading, tie-up, and initiation systems
  • Competence in magazine management, explosive handling, and compliance documentation
  • Strong understanding of drilling and blasting patterns and safe work practices
  • Ability to prepare and execute blast plans accurately and efficiently
  • Experience coordinating with drill and MPU crews to achieve production targets
  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and team performance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
  • Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Full Australian working rights
