Mechanical Fitter – FIFO 8:6 | $65–$74/hr | Strong Pump Rebuild Experience Required

Belayr Resources is seeking an experienced Pump Fitter to join our maintenance team on a long-term FIFO role in South Australia. This is a hands-on position on a small, supportive site where communication, teamwork and safety are at the core of everything we do.

About the Role

  • FIFO from Adelaide charter terminal or Port Augusta
  • DIDO available from Broken Hill
  • 8:6 roster – rotating day and night shift
  • Steady, ongoing maintenance-focused work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete breakdown, preventative and predictive maintenance on a range of pumps and fixed plant equipment
  • Strip, rebuild, install and commission pumps to OEM standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and provide accurate condition reporting
  • Support Supervisors and Planners with feedback, planning improvements and BOM updates in Pronto
  • Develop JSAs, SWIs and ensure all work meets WHS and site compliance
  • Assist with plant commissioning and reliability improvement projects

About You

You'll be the type of person who enjoys being part of a close-knit crew, communicates well, and keeps safety front of mind.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Australian trade qualification: Mechanical Fitter or Metal Fabrication (dual trade preferred)
  • Strong experience working with, maintaining and rebuilding pumps
  • Solid fault-finding and diagnostic ability across fixed plant
  • Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry or mining
  • Experience using maintenance management systems (MMS / Pronto ideal)
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Commitment to safe and efficient work practices
