Would you enjoy spending time with a kind-hearted elderly woman who loves a good chat over coffee, working on her diamond dot crafts, and talking about her beloved family and pets?





We're looking for a caring volunteer to visit a delightful lady who would truly value your company. She has a gentle pet bird who keeps her company indoors, and she finds joy in the little things—friendly conversation, creative hobbies, and the warmth of shared moments. Your visits could bring light and companionship into her week, offering a connection that makes a real difference in both of your lives.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare 

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare



We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
