About the Role:

Our client Vadilal Industries Pty Ltd, is an Australian subsidiary of a publicly listed overseas organisation, specialising in the import and distribution of frozen foods to retail clients. Following rapid growth over the past two years in Australia, the business is now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support its continued expansion in the local market.

This role is located in Ebenezer, NSW and reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for both day-to-day financial operations and strategic planning. You will oversee end-to-end finance functions, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and funding activities, while also acting as a key advisor on financial performance and business direction. The role is based in Ebenezer, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements, delivering actionable insights to improve fund utilisation

  • Compile quarterly and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, and support consolidation with the parent company

  • Act as the primary liaison with internal, statutory (Australian CPA firm), and overseas (India-based) auditors, resolving queries and providing strategic input

  • Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial processes to improve efficiency and support fundraising efforts

  • Identify funding requirements, prepare proposals for management approval, and manage relationships with financial institutions

  • Deliver financial forecasts and implement budgetary controls to support strategic decision-making

  • Oversee accurate and timely vendor payments through thorough invoice verification

  • Provide detailed sales reports and insights to management to drive growth and reduce product returns

  • Support the sales team with relevant financial data and return analysis

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in financial management or a senior finance role

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is essential

  • Solid understanding of Australian financial reporting standards and compliance obligations

  • Proven ability to streamline processes, implement improvements, and support funding strategies

  • Strong commercial insight with the ability to analyse financial data and support decision-making

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborative, with a commitment to building a supportive team environment

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Familiarity with the food supply chain, wholesale distribution, or retail-oriented finance operations will be an advantage
