About This Opportunity
Join Mackay Regional Council as a Strategic People Partner – Engagement, Equity & Inclusion and play a pivotal role in shaping a positive, inclusive workplace culture. This position focuses on delivering innovative organisational development initiatives that enhance employee engagement and promote equity and inclusion across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing strategic advice to build organisational capability and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Designing and implementing frameworks to improve organisational performance and engagement.
• Leading initiatives that embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into Council's operations.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver impactful programs.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated experience in workforce analytics, including forecasting and scenario planning.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Proficiency in data tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and HRIS systems.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning frameworks and external labour market analysis.
