About the Role
As a Principal Software Test Engineer, you'll lead the development of testing frameworks and automation strategies that elevate quality across our digital platforms. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions and uplift engineering standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of test frameworks that improve productivity and quality across multiple portfolios
- Develop and embed automation and security practices into CI/CD pipelines to support scalable delivery
- Mentor and uplift junior test engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Collaborate with Chapter Leads and contribute to quality-focused initiatives across the organisation
- Represent the testing community in strategic discussions and cross-functional programs
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years' experience in software testing, with deep expertise in Java, JavaScript, and modern testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams across diverse technical domains
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), source control (Git/Bitbucket), and build tools (Maven, Gradle, Webpack)
- Experience in performance and accessibility testing, and API frameworks such as RestAssured and Serenity BDD
