About the role
The Atmos Solutions team plays a crucial role supporting fee earning teams to provide legal and advisory services to a broad client base across Australia, New Zealand and globally.
Become part of a team that makes a meaningful impact, providing our clients with market-leading crisis, reputation and legal risk management support.
This role would suit an experienced Legal Executive who is looking to future proof their career by moving into a more dynamic practice area. No prior experience in privacy and cyber is required, but successful applicants need to show a strong interest in this area of law.
Our work is fast paced, so you will develop core skills and experience at a much faster rate compared to traditional practice areas. Our Legal Executives have autonomy in a supportive environment and have the opportunity to be directly involved in client work. This empowers our people to make a significant contribution to successful outcomes.
You will work within our First Response team, with clients large and small across all sectors, as well as partners, lawyers, consultants, crisis communications professionals and threat intelligence consultants across our network of offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland.
Responsibilities & Skills
You will provide crucial support to our lawyers and other staff around the following tasks:
- Drafting & Formatting: Strong written communication; impeccable attention to detail; advanced styles/formatting in Word.
- Organisation & Prioritisation: Managing multiple matters, deadlines, and stakeholders calmly and transparently.
- Client Service: Professional presence, clear communication, and expectation management.
- Technical Proficiency & Digital Agility:
- AI & Automation Tools: Interest and developing experience leveraging AI powered tools for document review, drafting assistance, research, and workflow optimisation (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Lexis+ AI).
- Adaptability to Emerging Tech: Comfortable learning and adopting new legal tech platforms, cloud based systems, and digital collaboration tools quickly.
- Productivity Tools: Microsoft 365 (Word—advanced, Excel—intermediate, Outlook, PowerPoint/Teams), PDF tools (Adobe Acrobat—bookmarks, redactions), and practice management systems (desirable: Actionstep or Aderant).
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment with a critical mind and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to be a self-starter that effectively manages assigned tasks independently. Our team is spread across 5 cities in Australia and New Zealand, so you need to be comfortable working remotely with colleagues in other offices.
