We combine cutting-edge technology with a collaborative, quality-driven culture. We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist (CNC Operator) to join our manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program Zund/Bullmer/Matic CNC machines to produce work to specifications.
  • Interpret CAD drawings and specifications to determine appropriate machine setup.
  • Set up and adjust CNC equipment to perform cutting jobs accurately.
  • Select and install suitable cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures for each project.
  • Align and secure workpieces and tools to ensure precision.
  • Perform polishing and finishing tasks to achieve specified quality standards.
  • Conduct trial runs and make adjustments for optimal machine operation.
  • Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to maintain high quality.
  • Pack signage materials (e.g., SAVs) directly after cutting into tubes.
  • Liaise with despatch regarding packing larger objects prior to cutting.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and identify potential mechanical issues early.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams to enhance efficiency.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and material properties.
  • Proficient in precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Experience in both CNC programming and manual machine operation.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Effective problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
