Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Commonwealth Bank Full time $180,000 - $250,000 per year

Crew Lead (Executive Manager), Non-Human Identity and Access Management
See yourself in the team
We are building foundational AI-powered identity and access capabilities that will help shape the future of secure banking. This is a chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a highly collaborative environment, applying modern engineering practices and ensuring the highest standards of security and trust. You'll bring a mix of Identity expertise, specifically related to Non-Huma Identities, curiosity for AI, and a strong controls mindset. You'll work closely with colleagues across engineering, security, risk and business domains, as well as with external partners. To be successful, you'll combine sound judgement with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders, even when navigating diverse perspectives and priorities. As the Crew Lead (Executive Manager), you and your teams will provide end-to-end product ownership (build, fix, run) for capability being delivered via current (and future) tooling. The onboarding and associated hygiene of non-human identities (and access) would also be driven by this team.

The Role
As the Crew Lead (Executive Manager), you will:

  • Contribute to solving complex business problems through the lens of IAM, with a specific focus on Agentic Agents, Entitlements, AI, and broader Non-Human Identities.
  • Provide thought leadership on how to improve platforms, processes, and tooling.
  • Be across emerging technologies and future challenges (both organisationally and the broader industry).
  • Be able to demonstrate tangible value through the outcomes you deliver.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from discovery through to scaled adoption, balancing delivery pace with quality and resilience.
  • Have a passion for building world class teams.

About You
You will bring:

  • Experience working on large-scale deployments in complex technology environments.
  • Experience with broader IAM products (specifically SailPoint IIQ, Ping, CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault).
  • Exposure to AI concepts and modern engineering practices including cloud-native infrastructure, APIs, secure software development and identity frameworks such as SPIFFE/SPIRE.
  • Experience with managing and designing non-human account management solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern identity protocols including OAuth2, OIDC and SAML.
  • An extensive record of people management and team building.
  • Cloud experience (including native tools).
  • A focus on security and controls, with experience working in regulated environments.
  • Experience engaging with security, risk or compliance stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of agile delivery methods and backlog tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.

Why join us

  • Play a role in shaping the foundations of AI-enabled identity and access for the bank.
  • Work on technology that combines innovation with security at scale.
  • Make a real impact by supporting secure experiences for millions of customers.
  • Join a team that values collaboration, pragmatism and continuous learning.
