Synchro Partners
is partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a major transformation program and is seeking an
Okta Specialist
to play a pivotal role in enhancing their identity and access management landscape.

This role focuses on onboarding a broad range of applications onto the OKTA platform. This includes designing, implementing, and optimising
Okta
within a large, complex enterprise environment, strengthening authentication frameworks, integrating applications, and ensuring secure, seamless access across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and build new applications into the SSO and IdP platform in line with technical requirements, engaging with internal application support teams, developers, and external vendors..
  • Lead the configuration, deployment, and optimisation of
    Okta Identity Cloud
    , including
    SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management
    .
  • Integrate Okta with a broad range of applications
  • Participate in
    weekly project update sessions
    , proactively managing technical issues, customer engagement, and project artefacts.
  • Support incident response, audit readiness, and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Prepare documentation, technical artefacts, and reports to support ongoing improvement and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as directed from time to time.

Key Requirements

  • Thorough and demonstrated understanding of
    Okta
    as an
    Identity Provider (IdP)
    .
  • In-depth knowledge of
    IAM principles
    , access governance, and
    role-based access control (RBAC)
    .
  • Proven experience delivering
    identity and authentication
  • Hands-on experience with
    SSO, MFA, OAuth2, SAML, WS-Federation, Kerberos, HTTP Basic, OpenID Connect, and SCIM
    .
  • Expertise in
    Web and API technologies
    , including REST, HTTP, certificate management, and API gateway proxies.
  • Experience designing and implementing
    security and identity solutions
    across the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and a
    strong customer service focus
    , with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Comfortable working within structured
    project governance
    frameworks and managing competing technical priorities.
