The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Coordinator with a passion for Administerial tasks to join our team at Indooroopilly Outside School Hours Care. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of our vibrant outside school hours care service located in Indooroopilly, QLD.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Coordinator in the overall management and administration of the service
- Support the team with the educational program, ensuring it aligns with the My Time our Place Learning Framework
- Mentor and support the educators in delivering high-quality care and engaging learning experiences for the children
- Maintain positive relationships with children, families and the broader school community
- Ensure the service operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through reflective practice
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role within the outside school hours care sector
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and the ability to translate this into practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independent decision-making
- Enthusiasm for continual professional development and a commitment to providing the best possible care and education for children
