Redbank Plains, Queensland, Australia Acu-Tech Piping Systems Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Acu-Tech Piping Systems is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Redbank, QLD. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production operations through proactive maintenance and technical support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Analyse and document test results in collaboration with the Production Team to support continuous improvement.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and work closely with production staff to minimise operational downtime.
  • Maintain and service extrusion machines, including pump and gearbox repairs.
  • Prepare quotations for parts and repairs, manage supplier relationships, and source competitive quotes for non-standard items.
  • Support inventory and spare parts management to ensure timely availability of critical components.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed in accordance with company policies and operational needs.

Who You Are

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
  • Minimum5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Restricted Electrical License (desirable but not essential)
  • Current Australian Driver's License and Forklift (LF) License
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
