**About the Role**

We are excited to invite a skilled General Fitter to join our dynamic team focused on innovative stainless steel and construction projects

In this vital role, you will be involved in fitting, assembling, and maintaining essential plant and mechanical equipment, ensuring the successful execution of our large-scale stainless steel projects.

Your expertise will significantly contribute to keeping our equipment's safety, reliability, and optimal performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Fit and assemble metal parts and subassemblies, supporting the maintenance and fabrication of construction-related plant and equipment.

  • Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and adjustments of machinery and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Perform proactive preventative maintenance to keep our stationary plant and machinery running smoothly and minimise downtime.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in equipment used for stainless steel placement, kerbing, and finishing, creatively solving challenges as they arise.

  • Fabricate, replace, and install parts as needed to enhance our operations and keep projects on track.

  • Ensure that every task is performed in line with workplace health and safety standards, fostering a safe environment for everyone.

  • Maintain precise records of your work, inspections, and servicing, contributing to our team's overall success.

**Skills & Qualifications**

  • Substantial hands-on experience in fitting and assembly (at least 1-2+ years).

  • Proven experience as a general fitter in construction, stainless steel, or industrial plant environments, showing your passion for this field.

  • Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, showcasing your technical skills.

  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.

  • Experience with stainless steel batching or finishing equipment is a definite plus
