ICT Manager

Step Fwd IT is seeking a focused, enthusiastic innovator to lead ICT at one of our major education clients in Ringwood. This is a full time onsite role for a hands on technical professional who's ready to take the next step into managing people while continuing to build and run modern infrastructure.

You'll report to the College Business Manager (client side) and the Operations Lead – Education Team at Step Fwd IT.

What you'll do

• Hands on Operations & Projects
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, VMWare.
• Manage Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot
• Oversee networking, storage, and backups; Aruba experience highly regarded.
• Support CCTV and security/access control systems.
• Team Leadership
• Lead L1/L2 engineers: task allocation, mentoring, quality checks, documentation.
• Promote a cohesive, productive, and collaborative team culture.
• Run level 10 framework meetings: track workload, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Partner with School Executive on eLearning and ICT service requirements.
• Coordinate external providers and ensure best value service delivery.
• Governance & Best Practice
• Ensure ICT services align with best value principles and school objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and operational standards.

Desired Skills & Experience (Technical)

• VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V (virtualised environments)
• Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Windows Server.
• Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot; Google Workspace knowledge valued.
• Networking, storage, and backup administration; Aruba networking advantageous.
• Experience with CCTV and security/access control systems.
