Supervisor - Leading Hand Civil Construction

BildGroup is a multi-disciplinary contractor with over 600 people working across Australia to deliver solutions as diverse as civil infrastructure, urban development, landscaping, sports field construction and road profiling & asphalt paving.

Bild Infrastructure is growing in South Australia and we are looking for Supervisors and Leading Hands with a minimum 3-5 years of South Australian Civil Road Construction Experience. If you have in depth knowledge of road construction, road rehabilitation or intersection upgrade works we would like to hear from you.

You'll be based across both regional and metro locations within South Australia. This role is essential to our continued success in delivering top-quality projects.

This role—whether as a Leading Hand or Supervisor—includes the following key accountabilities:

• Proven experience supervising on-site teams of up to six people, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with management and site crews in a non-autonomous, team-focused environment.
• Strong experience in rural road construction and working in remote or regional locations.
• Willingness and flexibility to work and live away from home as project demands require.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate, guide, and support site personnel.
• Solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, procedures, and permit requirements.
• Possession of a valid White Card and Driver's Licence is essential.

The role (Leading Hand or Supervisor level, depending on experience) will be responsible for:

• Supporting or overseeing daily construction activities on rural infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with contract documents, policies, procedures, and project management plans.
• Actively promoting and upholding a strong safety and quality culture on-site, engaging both Bild and subcontractor personnel.
• Managing or assisting with site administration, including timesheets, delivery dockets, and maintaining an accurate site diary.
• Leading or participating in site startups, toolbox talks, safety briefings, site inductions, and verification of tickets and certifications.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members to support project success and future business growth.
• Working closely with project engineers and managers to ensure smooth communication between site teams and project leadership.
