Civil Apprenticeships and Careers Ltd Group Training Organisation (GTO) is a purpose built entity employing apprentices for the South Australian civil construction sector. We are proudly supported by the Civil Contractors Federation South Australia. We are a GTO run by the South Australian civil industry.

You will be employed by us, and you will undertake on-the-job training with respectable industry Hosts. We ensure you have continuity of employment and that you obtain quality training in a safe and supportive environment. We will provide you with ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals.

About the apprenticeships

If you are a dependable and committed individual who would like to complete a 36 month civil construction apprenticeship we encourage you to apply. This is a paid, entry-level opportunity and provides on the job experience and ensures you earn an income whilst you learn and complete studies towards nationally recognised qualifications in either: Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or Certificate III in Civil Construction.

As a successful candidate you will:

  • be physically fit
  • have a genuine passion for the civil industry
  • demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • possess hand-eye coordination
  • enjoy completing practical work
  • have a high level of personal safety awareness

Successful applicants with little to no civil construction experience or training may be invited to attend a two-week full-time pre-employment course prior to apprenticeship commencement. The course is free of charge for successful applicants.

Requirements:

  • Must be a school leaver \ graduate or not currently enrolled in school
  • Must hold a provisional or full driver's license
  • Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug screening test
