About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Technical Sales Representative, to support the sales team with the technical side of our business.
Working directly with Owners, our Technical Sales Representative is responsible for checking vessel specifications, outlining fit-out options, and handling requests for alterations or custom work.
This role will take part in sea trials, help prepare boats for commissioning, and assist during owner handovers. The successful candidate will have a solid mix of practical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a natural ability to make owners feel comfortable and confident with their new Riviera.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills, collaborate with a supportive team and grow in your career. A dynamic, fast paced role, that may require you to pivot quickly, at times.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales staff by explaining vessel specifications and available system options to owners.
- Work with customers and sales to review and action alteration or custom requests, checking what is practical and achievable.
- Attend customer sea trials, go through vessel performance, and demonstrate key onboard systems (Garmin, CZone, Volvo, MAN, stabilisation, etc.).
- Assist with preparing vessels for commissioning and play an active part on owner Commissioning days.
- Provide straightforward instructions and demonstrations to owners on how to use the vessel's systems.
- Keep up to date with Riviera models.
- Pass customer feedback from trials, handovers, and specification meetings back to sales, service, and engineering teams.
Teamwork and Reporting
This role will work closely with Sales, Service, and Production to make sure owners have a smooth and professional experience with their new vessel.
Skills and Experience
- A current recreational or commercial marine licence, with confidence operating vessels during trials and handovers.
- Ideally trade qualified with practical hands on experience.
- Strong knowledge of Riviera yachts or similar premium motor yachts.
- Familiarity with Garmin, CZone, and other commonly fitted systems.
- Able to explain technical details clearly and professionally to customers.
- Previous experience in sales support, vessel commissioning, or customer facing technical work is an advantage.
