Analyst / Associate – Real Estate Private Equity | Sydney-Based | Global Investment Platform

A global private equity firm is looking to expand its footprint in Australia with the opening of a new Sydney office, and is seeking a high-calibre Analyst or Associate to join its Real Estate Private Equity team.

With a long-standing presence and deep expertise across the Asia-Pacific region, the team is one of the most active and well-capitalised real estate investment platforms in the region, managing over US$9 billion in AUM.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a formative stage of the Sydney office build-out and work directly with senior investors on transactions across Australia, Southeast Asia, and Japan. The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to large-scale investments across sectors such as:

  • Logistics (multi-level developments)
  • Build-to-Rent (BTR)
  • Self-storage (regional platform expansion)
  • Real estate credit
  • Plus growing interest in data centres, student housing, modular construction, and decarbonisation themes

In this role, you will support deal execution and portfolio monitoring across a diverse set of real estate investments. You will be responsible for conducting detailed financial modelling, asset valuation, and market research to assess potential opportunities. The role also involves assisting with due diligence processes and preparing high-quality materials for Investment Committee presentations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with senior team members on deal origination, structuring, and asset management initiatives throughout the investment lifecycle.

We are seeking candidates with 1–5 years of experience in investment banking—ideally within a real estate group—or in a top-tier real estate private equity firm. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to thrive within a lean, high-performing team environment.
