We're looking for a proactive and motivated Site HR Advisor who's ready to learn, grow, and support our People and Culture team based at the Roy Hill mine. Whether you're an experienced HR professional or someone who is looking to take the next step in your career, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with leaders and employees in a dynamic mining environment.
Supporting leaders and operational staff at our Processing Plant, this is a true HR generalist role — you'll be involved in everything from day-to-day transactional tasks to supporting more complex people matters. Reporting to the Superintendent HR, you'll provide practical advice, ensure compliance with legislation, and help leaders navigate challenges with confidence. You'll be hands-on in delivering HR processes, managing employee movements, and resolving issues quickly and effectively. In this role, you'll need to be ready to change direction when priorities shift and be comfortable balancing routine work with project-based initiatives.
About you
You are a task-focused "doer" who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You're flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to changing priorities without losing momentum. You enjoy variety in your work and are confident switching between administrative tasks, people-facing activities, and problem-solving.
You have a reputation for building trust and fostering collaboration, as well as contributing to positive team environments. You're comfortable working with leaders and employees at all levels, and you bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to HR.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a Human Resources, recruitment, or administration role (mining or resources industry exposure desirable)
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in performance management, employee relations, and HR processes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with leaders and team members
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced site environment
- An understanding of employment legislation, with a desire to grow knowledge in IR/ER matters
- Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn HR systems quickly
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Commerce, or working towards completion will be beneficial
Mine Facilities
- Modern, comfortable camp accommodation
- High quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options)
- Large fully equipped gym facility, as well as a gym specifically for females
- Heated outdoor swimming pool
- Beach Volleyball court and Golf simulators
- Village shop and extensive supporting amenities
- SWIFT in-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capability
- Active social club with community events and activities for employees
- Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family
