Who We Are:

BWE Drilling is a diversified drilling services contractor providing specialised drilling, blasting, exploration and waterwell drilling services in the mining and construction sectors through our three business units: Drill & Blast, Exploration and Waterwell.

Across the BWE Drilling group we employ over 300 employees and are going through an unprecedented period of growth and expansion.

Our BWE Drilling - Drill and Blast business unit provides full production drilling and specialty blasting services across the civil and mining industries. Our range of services are all performed with minimal disturbances to the surrounding environment and construction areas.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage site-based drill and blast operations
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee personnel, subcontractors, and equipment on site
  • Coordinate with project personnel to meet project timelines
  • Manager production targets, audits, and pre-start meetings
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture across all levels of site team

What You Bring:

  • 5 years experience in a similar site-based management role within a drill and blast environment
  • Proven track record of successful safety and people management
  • Proven background in managing complex projects with successful stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to ensure drill and blast contract requirements are clearly understood and achieved on a daily basis
  • Ability to produce accurate reports on people and production targets
  • Hold a Section 44 and Statuary S26 or working towards the exam
  • Hold current certificate / licences (WA Shot Firers tick, Provide First Aid Certificate, HR licence and National Police Clearance less than 6 months old)
