Payment Services Specialist

As a Payment Services Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring all payments to and from the Bank are processed efficiently, accurately, and securely across all TMBL brands. You'll work with our core banking system and integrated applications to deliver exceptional service while safeguarding compliance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and exchange Direct Entry, BPAY, Member Chequing, and NPP files daily.
- Manage exceptions, rejections, returns, traces, investigations, disputes, and mistaken internet payments across all payment systems.
- Ensure accurate dating and coding of exceptions to meet AML/CTF compliance.
- Respond to client queries, including payroll reallocations and electronic deposit requests.
- Action account switching requests and complete payment dishonours within required timeframes.
- Identify opportunities to improve member experience and reduce operating costs.
- Collaborate with the Supervisor and Payments Senior to resolve challenges and keep communication flowing.
- Handle complex payment investigations, including Mistaken Internet Payments.
- Promote automation of manual payments for cost efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and compliance obligations.
What You'll Bring
- FSR Tier 2 accreditation.
- Previous experience in Payment Services or a similar role.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core banking systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A passion for delivering outstanding member experiences.
