The Department of Mining and Energy is seeking a highly talented Executive Director to spearhead the transformative Rum Jungle Rehabilitation Project in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Join us in our mission to restore the former Rum Jungle uranium mine site, located 105 km south of Darwin. This dynamic role offers you the chance to collaborate with the NT Government, Australian Government, and Traditional Owners to ensure ecological sustainability and foster community engagement.

As the Executive Director, you will:

  • Lead a dedicated team in delivering effective rehabilitation strategies, policies, and regulations.

  • Oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and regulations standards.

  • Manage site works, including groundwater treatment, waste management, and ecological restoration.

  • Develop and implement long-term monitoring programs to measure project success and sustainability.

  • Advocate for the project and the Department of Mining and Energy, promoting transparency and community.

  • Develop and foster strong, collaborative relationships with Traditional Owners.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a pivotal project that will significantly impact the Northern Territory's mining and energy landscape.
