A large, high-volume Not-for-Profit organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support its busy Group Finance function. This role suits someone technically strong, resilient, and confident working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver annual consolidated financial statements for a multi-entity group.
  • Complete mandatory external and regulatory reporting (including NFP requirements).
  • Support grant acquittals, data collection and financial validation across the organisation.
  • Provide technical accounting advice on complex AASB-related matters and treatments.
  • Assist with month-end close, reconciliations and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to financial process improvements and support finance-related projects.

About You

  • Experienced in preparing statutory consolidated accounts for large or complex groups.
  • Strong understanding of AASB, NFP compliance frameworks, and external reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical capability with accuracy in high-volume environments.
  • Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, busy finance function.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable partnering across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Big 4 audit background highly regarded—ideal first-mover opportunity into industry.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Advanced Excel skills a must.
  • Background in technical financial accounting, external audit or group reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound technical judgement.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving environment.
