This organisation has established itself as a market leader, renowned for its collaborative approach and commitment to nurturing talent. As the business enters a pivotal phase of growth, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment, your expertise will be valued and your contributions recognised.
- Join a respected market leader with 14 years of proven success in structured property finance, offering you the chance to contribute to an organisation with a strong reputation for dependability and knowledge-sharing.
- Benefit from flexible working arrangements and generous support from a collaborative team, ensuring you can thrive both professionally and personally while making meaningful connections within the industry.
- Play a key role in an ambitious expansion strategy, with access to ongoing training opportunities and the potential for career progression as the company continues to scale up over the next five years.
What You'll Do
As an Associate Director – Commercial Property Finance, you will play a central role in driving business growth by originating new transactions and building lasting relationships with clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with analysts on complex deals, providing expert advice on construction and property development loans, and ensuring every transaction meets rigorous standards for quality and compliance. You will be instrumental in shaping internal processes that support efficiency while mentoring junior staff members in a nurturing environment. By staying attuned to market developments and participating in strategic initiatives alongside senior leadership, you will help position the organisation for continued success as it expands its footprint across Australia.
- Originate new commercial property finance transactions by leveraging your well-established network within core markets and responding to qualified inbound enquiries generated by the business.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to facilitate successful construction and property development loan agreements.
- Assess complex financial proposals, conduct thorough due diligence on development projects, and provide expert guidance throughout the loan approval process.
- Collaborate closely with analysts and other team members to ensure seamless execution of structured finance deals from origination through settlement.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within commercial property finance to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support junior colleagues by sharing your knowledge and experience, fostering an environment of communal learning and professional growth.
- Contribute actively to the development of internal processes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction across all stages of property finance transactions.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence and expand business reach.
- Work together with senior leadership on acquisition strategies, including supporting marketing initiatives designed to drive further growth in lead generation.
- Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
What You Bring
Your extensive background in commercial property finance equips you with the technical expertise required for this Associate Director role. You bring not only deep sector knowledge but also outstanding interpersonal skills that foster collaboration across teams. Your ability to analyse complex financial scenarios ensures sound decision-making while your commitment to communal learning supports both personal growth and organisational success. Experience managing high-value transactions underpins your reliability as a trusted advisor for clients navigating construction or development loans. By embracing flexible working opportunities and engaging actively with ongoing training programmes, you demonstrate your dedication to professional advancement within a supportive environment.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in commercial property finance or structured finance within banking or property investment sectors, demonstrating your ability to manage high-value transactions.
- Proven track record in originating construction and property development loans through established networks in core markets such as Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust-based relationships with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and external partners.
- Strong analytical abilities for assessing complex financial proposals and conducting comprehensive due diligence on development projects.
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork within a high-performing environment where knowledge-sharing is encouraged.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations clearly to both internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions while maintaining attention to detail across all aspects of transaction management.
- Experience mentoring junior staff members or contributing positively to communal learning initiatives within previous roles.
- Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks governing commercial property finance transactions in Australia.
- Dedication to continuous professional development through participation in training opportunities or industry events.
