This successful and specialised consultancy are looking for a highly motivated Associate Director/Director who will work with their team to deliver projects for a diverse range of clients in Queensland and nationally.

They carefully scope all projects to ensure we fully understand each client’s requirements and deliver exactly what is required for each project. This enables them to tailor a specific solution or methodology for each project, drawing on our experience, but understanding that each client and project has different requirements.

**About the role**:
The Director reports to the Principal. The Director is accountable to the Principal for the initiation and delivery of economic consulting projects in line with the agreed scope of works approved by the client.

While a significant part of the role encompasses the successful sourcing and delivery of consulting work, other key components to the role include:

- Being aligned to and acting in accordance with the approved Business and Marketing Plans and associated documents.
- Developing the capability of assigned team members; and
- Undertaking business development, including positioning the firm to secure work through marketing initiatives, including developing and fostering of key relationships.

**Role Expectations and Outcomes**:

- Leading project teams and interfacing directly with clients, primarily transportation, key infrastructure/assets, intermodal, port, and rail sectors.
- Leading the development of proposal documents, including developing proposed methodologies in response to briefs, and other business development initiatives.
- Managing small project teams and liaising with other senior team members in undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform the development of models and reports.
- Preparing high-quality written reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients; and
- Developing and fostering relationships with clients and contacts.
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise activities such that each operational task is delivered to scope.
- Can lead the BD process in an area of responsibility and provide valued and timely input into the process to deliver successful BD outcomes, including expanding opportunities with existing clients and building new client relationships.

**Experience, skills, and background**:

- Formal economic, finance, business, or related qualification or commensurate skills and experience in the provision of economic and financial consulting and advisory services.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience at a team, group, or equivalent level with an ability to consistently deliver consulting work to a high standard on time and within budget.
- Understanding and experience in leading change initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence in a simple and persuasive manner with all stakeholders.
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to lead by example with a sense of Strength and clarity of purpose.
