We are on the lookout for a dynamic News Editor to join our Canberra-based team at the Parliamentary Press Gallery in Australian Parliament House
(onsite role only).

Our Ideal Candidate
- Recent Graduate
in Law, Politics or Media looking for an alternative career path; OR - Editor
with prior content production, copy editing or publishing experience looking to make a significant impact. 
Responsibilities
Supporting the Editorial team on shift you will play a central role in our mission to deliver comprehensive parliamentary intelligence services to our clients by:
- Curate & Publish
: Gather, edit, and publish timely public-source news materials. - Anticipate & Alert
: Deliver real-time, accurate news updates to our subscribers. - Write Smart
: Craft concise, topical and engaging editorials that keep pace with the week in Parliament. - Collaborate Across Teams
: Ensure top-notch content quality and comprehensive coverage. - Customer Support
: Assist subscribers with research queries and content needs. 
Requirements:

Expertise in working to tight deadlines, seamlessly navigating fast-paced environments, and juggling competing priorities. - Time Management & Punctuality

Strong collaboration and communication prowess. - Flexible Hours:
Willingness to adjust working hours to suit the Parliamentary schedule and team roster.

- Insight into Australian Parliamentary or Government processes.
 - Robust research and analytical abilities (knowledge of Government / Parliamentary sources is a plus).
 - Experience working with style guides, database and content management systems.
 - Passion for emerging technology and process innovation.
 
Location
This role is strictly Canberra-based and onsite. You must be able to work from our Canberra office in Parliament House.
