FIFO Tenancy Admin Officer - Full Time
At Ngaanyatjarra Council we are very proud to be supporting indigenous people to stay and thrive on their lands in remote Western Australia. We support them by assisting them to live independently in homes on the lands.
One of the key accountabilities is to maintain rental payments, report maintenance and liaise with the Department of Communities. We are looking for an administrator who is eager to join us in a job with purpose, flying to lands and working in our Perth office.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a FIFO Tenancy admin officer who will have 4:2 swing with 4 weeks on lands accompanying the tenancy officer and supporting with data management and ad hoc tasks as required. This position will then spend 2 weeks in our modern Perth CBD office.
The role is full time and permanent
About you
- Demonstrated administration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Expertise in MS Office - Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated numerical literacy
- Demonstrated ability to complete and prioritise tasks
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work in remote locations with basic accommodation and limited amenities
- Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
Desirable
- Experience in aboriginal corporation or NFP
Experience in social or community housing
Sound understanding of working with diverse or vulnerable client groups
What you will be doing
- Manage documentation in liaison with Tenancy officer and team
- Manage tenancy records
- Enter and interrogate data on 'Habitat' (Dept of communities)
- Interact with Services Australia portal re queries and responses
- Manage discrepancies and arrears
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and all stake holders
- Keep up to date and insure all processes meet WA tenancy laws, regulations and policies
- Liaise with all internal teams to insure continuous improvement across tenancy
- Assist in reporting, audits and all other tenancy related requirements
