Job Title: Program Director – Banking Transformation (Merchant Banking & Payments)

We are seeking a highly experienced Program Director to lead a major banking transformation for a large Australian Bank. This role requires specialist expertise in merchant banking and payments, including ACI systems and merchant payments infrastructure. The successful candidate will drive the transformation of business banking and payments capabilities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a critical business banking and merchant payments transformation.


• Oversee program governance, risk management, and C-suite stakeholder engagement.


• Modernise merchant banking infrastructure, with a focus on ACI systems and merchant payment solutions.


• Ensure seamless integration of merchant payment capabilities into the bank's broader payments ecosystem.


• Collaborate with technology, operations, and business teams to drive transformation objectives.


• Manage complex program interdependencies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and compliance standards are met.

Requirements:


• Proven experience as a Program Director leading large-scale banking transformations.


• Deep expertise in merchant banking and merchant payments, with knowledge of ACI systems.


• Strong understanding of business banking payments architecture and regulatory requirements.


• Demonstrated success in delivering complex payment modernisation initiatives.


• Ability to engage and influence senior executives and regulatory bodies.


• Experience with agile and hybrid delivery models within a financial services environment.
