Reliability Engineer – Fixed Plant / Mobile

Eastern Goldfields (FIFO 8/6 from Perth)

3–6 Month Contract | ASAP Start

A gold operation in the Eastern Goldfields is entering a major restart phase and is looking for an experienced
Reliability Engineer
to support both fixed plant and mobile assets during a critical ramp-up period.

The site features a recommissioned processing plant, an established underground mine delivering high-grade feed, and nearby open pits providing additional ore. Everything is centred around a single-hub operating model with strong financial backing and a clear pathway to production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing reliability engineering support across both fixed plant and mobile fleet
  • Analysing downtime trends, equipment performance, and failure modes
  • Leading RCA, defect elimination, and maintenance strategy optimisation
  • Working closely with maintenance, operations, and project teams across the restart phase
  • Supporting shutdown preparation and continuous improvement work

What You'll Bring

  • Background in reliability engineering within gold or hard-rock mining
  • Experience with plant equipment such as crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps
  • Exposure to mobile equipment (underground or open-pit)
  • Strong analytical capability: RCA, FMEA, and data-driven decision making
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving restart/ramp-up environment
