We are seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to join a leading Australian Naval Services Contractor based in Henderson, WA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major maritime defence projects while working with a company recognised for its innovation, capability and commitment to safety.

About the role

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across large-scale engineering and fabrication works within a shipyard environment.

This position is offered on an initial casual basis with a strong likelihood for permanency for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide HSE leadership and support to project and site teams
  • Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to promote safety awareness
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of HSE management systems

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven HSE experience in naval or shipbuilding environments
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Diploma (or higher) in Work Health and Safety or related discipline
  • Ability to work across extended hours including rostered Saturdays
