Fixed Term
As our valued HSE Advisor, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest safety standards in our underground operations and driving M2P's ongoing success as an industry leader.
Based at our site in South Australia, you will work closely with our team to implement and oversee health, safety, and environmental strategies that reflect our values and meet the unique challenges of underground operations. A key part of your role will be engaging with our workforce to promote a strong safety culture and support our people day to day. You'll bring your HSE expertise to the role and be backed by a down-to-earth team of leaders, experts, and hardworking people who always step up for each other.
You'll make an impact by:
- Developing and implementing safety systems and procedures to protect our people
- Leading risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits to identify and manage hazards
- Delivering training and guidance to build strong HSE awareness across the workforce
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in an HSE role, ideally within an underground mining environment
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements and risk management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the workforce
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience with emergency response planning and incident management
- A proactive mindset for identifying and addressing safety issues before they arise
- The ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships
