About the Role
We are looking for highly motivated Maintenance Control Officer to work on the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet's F414 engine and F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II. The role of the Maintenance Control Officer is to execute the technical administration of assigned module and components through the MRO Lifecycle, including generation of work packages, facilitating approval of work packages for release with the Maintenance Control Manager and Quality Department, major changes to released work packages and reviewing work packages prior to closure for quality.
Your duties include:
Manage the timely and accurate creation of user-friendly work packages in customer provided enterprise digital solutions e.g. SAP, Solumina, etc.
Manage the administration of major changes to released work packages to ensure there are no delays to production for technical administration.
Conducting audits of technical work packages for accuracy before final close out,
Collaboration with the relevant maintenance team leaders and planning team to generate and maintain work schedules.
Support the customer to maintain configuration control and reporting of product data to ensure records are complete and accurate as required by customer contractual requirements.
Support the review of technical data changes / revisions for impacts to assigned work packages.
Participate in root cause and corrective action process associated with relevant non-conformance reports.
Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce the cost base and improve efficiency within the maintenance operations environment.
Skills and Experiences:
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated ability as a maintenance manager to ensure work packages adhere to required instructions for continuous airworthiness, customer and regulatory requirements and any company specific requirements.
Experience using various enterprise digital solutions e.g. SAP, Solumina, IFS, Microsoft, etc.
Experience in an aerospace propulsion or component / MRO operations environment.
Exceptional organisational, planning and change management skills
Minimum four years in an aviation MRO operations environment, or equivalent mechanical operations environment.
Professional engineering qualification BEng or Cert IV in Aeroskills (or equivalent) with 4 years post qualification experience.
Lean / 6 Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement training
